Jager Alaric Oberlin - The Saint of Solace
Campaign: Elegy
Once a zealous paladin of divine justice, Alaric’s faith shattered when a world-ending event—the Silent Night—claimed his family. Forsaking his oaths, he wandered in grief until a new fellowship gave him purpose: to undo the catastrophe that broke him. In pursuing vengeance, he rediscovered grace. Though offered the chance to resurrect his loved ones, Alaric chose instead to preserve the balance of life and death. Campaign: Out of the Abyss
This installment of Friday Familiars features a whole campaign - my first full campaign as a DM, Out of the Abyss (and yes, we’re still going strong.) Swipe to hear this week’s song snippet-featuring a prison break!
The sounds that came together for this reminded me of a mystical, haunting place — and what better subject to feature than the Underdark? All of those sessions ago, a misfit and somewhat self-inflated party broke their way out of a prison in Velkynelve to begin their long escape from the dangers that lurk. (They’ve grown a lot since and I am totally not saying that out of fear I will be discovered by one of my players)
It just didn’t feel right tying this to a single character, so enjoy the ambiance!

Dance with a Succubus
Campaign: Out of the Abyss
More inspiration hit as a party I am DMing made anything but a specific contract with a succubus -- and now strange things are afoot!
There is a dance with the echo of chains and tension ringing throughout this leg of the adventure, and well, the opportunity to portray that through song was too good to pass up.
Will the deal be a success, or will the machinations of this fiend play out as intended?
