Once a week, I take a look at ideas in my voice memos and give myself a week to create a 30 second to 1 minute (or longer) arrangement based on that idea. I was inspired when I watched another composer post a written melody online and asked composers to share an interpretation of that melody.

Additionally, it's a great exercise in creativity, continuity and expression!

You can check out the first ten results of Voice Memo Monday below -- I post on Instagram weekly! The audio clip on the left is the original idea in the memo, and the video on the right is the result.

Once a month, I explore a region of the world musically, create a song inspired by the region and do a walkthrough of how to create similarly inspired works! Educational in nature, this is a casual channel on YouTube (@thedriftingbard) that highlights a bit of music theory and sound stylings for the casual composer. The channel is in its early stages, and there is more to come soon!
